Questions

Which plan should I pick?

Any of them. They download the same installer. We just thought you deserved a choice.

Is there a free trial?

The whole thing is the free trial. It never ends. Nobody will email you on day 15.

Can I upgrade later?

You can't, because there's nothing above what you have. You can update, though: LocalTC offers it when there's a new version, and never during a flight.

What's the catch?

One person builds it in spare time, so there's no support desk with a hold queue: there's a support form and a GitHub. If you'd like to say thanks, a coffee is the only price list there is.

What about the cloud model?

Optional, and yours: you bring your own key from a provider with a free tier, and pay them nothing unless you choose a paid plan with them. LocalTC never sees the key or the traffic.
